Great race today!  I thought the course and the event were well managed and all the staff and volunteers were well prepared.  The temperatures were great and the race itself gave me all I could handle.

Riley took a pit stop and missed out on a chance for the win- I tried to get the win for the Ogden training group and came up a little short. My legs were spent after 12 miles of rolling hills and winding paths.

I was thinking on the drive home- I don't know if I've ever been more satisfied with my running than I am now.  I have been in better shape and ran more competitive races while I was in college but there was a lot of stress and expectations involved.  The last few months I have ran as much as I wanted while not feeling overwhelmed.  The good races, PR's and even some prize money have come as I've had fun experimenting with the half marathon distance.  I've been able to re-kindle some former friendships and enjoyed some amazing company as I've ran with my friends. I even managed to lose a little weight and feel healthy and strong.

Jace well done this morning. You looked strong out there. It's been fun running with you again. You're running well, but don't settle. I think you are just hitting the top of the iceberg right now. You are in for a great year of racing. Congrats on a fine race!

Great job out there today Jace. You looked strong at the finish and seemed to give Jon everything he handle--way to battle.

Nice meeting you today and congratulations!

Nice time on that course!

You and Mr. Kotter have been duking it out for a lot of years now. I remember some great track races back in 03.

Thanks for the comments! I've always enjoyed the supportive atmosphere of the running community.

Rob- Jon and I have definitely had some good races over the years. I was able to stick to the shorter distances in college but now I'm back to racing him head on. Maybe next time...
